The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1) Prepare, rewrite and edit copy to improve readability
2) Read copy or proof to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
3) Allocate print space for story text, photos, and illustrations according to space parameters and copy significance, using knowledge of layout principles.
4) Plan the contents of publications according to the publication’s style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements.
5) Review and approve proofs submitted by composing room prior to publication production.
6) Develop story or content ideas, considering reader or audience appeal.
7) Confer with management and staff members regarding placement and emphasis of developing news stories.


  1. Preferably, candidate should be working toward degree in journalism, English, or communication arts 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
    3. Able to work under pressure. Optimistic attitude and strong people skills
    4. Native English speaker preferred. Experiences in institutional are preferred.
    5. Strong interpersonal relationship skills
    6. Should be Web savvy

Editor for Monthly Christian Newspaper (Jamaica, Queens)

Job Description:

As an editor, you will be responsible for creating/reviewing biographical content in various formats, including, but not limited to: press releases, church newspaper articles, and biographical narratives for various print publications and online features. You will also be expected to complete data entry tasks as needed.

The position will be based in the Queens office. The ideal candidate will have prior editing/staff writing experience, demonstrate the ability to read and understand information, and present it in a clear and concise manner, and possess the ability to multitask. S/he will need to provide writing samples upon request and should be prepared to take proficiency test as part of the candidate screening process.


  • Create and review content for print and online features, keeping in mind the importance of consistency and accuracy in accordance with the “Your Church News” in-house style, and the style specific to each publication
  • Copy edit content when needed, tracking changes to be reviewed by the writer and management
  • Meet deadlines assigned by editorial managers
  • Report to editorial managers on a daily basis, as well as team leads when appointed

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in editing/writing
  • Superior writing skills and the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Keen eye for detail and command of the English language
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, under deadline pressure
  • Experience with MS Office, especially Word

Customer Service Reps. (Jamaica, Queens)

Customer Service Representative Mon-Fri, – 10:00 am to 6:30 PM

Full Time – Customer Service Rep. (CSR and general admin/office support). This is not a full-time sit at your desk job. Candidate will be on feet multitasking throughout day.


Communicate with clients on the phone, email, fax and in person.
Process orders in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.
Organize workflow and coordinate with the production team to meet clients deadlines.
Attend to clients and immediately address any complaints and concerns, and facilitate satisfactory resolutions.
Promote new opportunities for existing accounts, as well as telemarketing/cold calling on leads for potential clients.


Able to manage telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Interact with customers via phone, email, live chat, helpdesk etc;
Computer proficient and up-to-date on new technology. Knowledge of common application programs such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, minimum typing speed should be 50 wpm

We are a digital printing and advertising company in the process of conducting job interviews for our Advertising & Sales Department. The job involves selling advertising space for our upcoming publication. Applicants with prior experience in door to door ad sales, strong work ethic, great attitude and excellent communication skills may apply.
